2020 HeatSmart Orange
Request for Proposals
The SECOND ROUND of the HeatSmart Orange Program is open for applications from Heat Pump Installers!
IMPORTANT NOTICE - RFP SUBMISSION DATE: Installer applications DUE March 5 by 5:00 p.m.
Energize NY, on behalf of the HeatSmart Orange Campaign requests submissions from Orange County installers - who meet the requirements for a Participating Installer in relevant NYSERDA programs – to participate in the 2020 HeatSmart Orange Campaign launching in April. The campaign will focus on the following technologies:
Weatherization, Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps and Heat Pump Water Heaters
The objective of HeatSmart Orange is to significantly ramp up the rate of clean heating and cooling system adoption and energy efficiency in Orange County. The HeatSmart Campaign will leverage committed and well-connected volunteers and community leaders, particularly in using creative and effective ways to get the word out to their community about HeatSmart Orange. The goal is to encourage as many building owners as possible to consider installing CH&C systems and energy efficiency measures in general, to displace fossil fuel-based heating and cooling systems. The selected Installer(s) will be the sole recipients of customer leads through HeatSmart Orange and will be actively promoted by the community as HeatSmart’s competitively selected Installer(s).
If you would like to be considered as an installer for HeatSmart Orange, please see the attached REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (“RFP”) and complete all information in this attachment for the relevant technologies for which you are applying to provide installation services.
The selected Installer(s) will be the sole recipients of customer leads through HeatSmart Orange and will be actively promoted by the community as HeatSmart’s competitively selected Installer(s).
Installers must submit an application by Thursday, March 5th, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
Please contact CarolynC@EnergizeNY.org with any questions related the RFP submission process.
RFP Q & A:
Q. Will you accept the application we completed for another HeatSmart campaign last year instead of filling out a whole new app?
A. The older application will satisfy only part of the current request. We will need some important updates for the 2020 campaign. We will need an updated signature on Att. B, and check for a few questions of Att. C that differ from other campaigns. Some copies of your proposals for past HeatSmart campaigns can satisfy Att. D. If you submit an old application, you must supplement it with the update requests.
