Meet the Volunteers
(Be sure to select "volunteering" in the interests section.)
There are generous rebates available right now to help building owners in New York upgrade to more energy efficient geothermal and air source heat pumps. Additional money is available for weatherization upgrades like air sealing and insulation. HeatSmart Orange is in your community to build awareness for cleaner technology and these incentives.
HeatSmart is endorsed by Orange County! To leverage this opportunity, we’re looking for volunteers like you to join our Clean Heating and Cooling Team, which will show local homeowners and businesses a path to transition away from high-cost fuels (such as propane and heating oil) resulting in lower community carbon emissions and reduced energy costs.
Volunteer roles are flexible, starting with simply getting the word out in your community about this program. We keep the time commitment low and no technical background is required. We will offer training sessions where you'll learn about the technologies, incentive programs and our campaign. You can participate according to your interests and attributes.
This is your opportunity to get more involved, network with like-minded volunteers, learn more about energy efficient technologies, and make a positive contribution to our environment!
